Ms Lisa Carrier, Head of Technology-Enhanced Education
Lisa leads the development and delivery of the School's e-learning strategy. She directs and supports TEE activities across the Faculty. She also develops guidelines and procedures for the delivery of TEE services and coordinates policy and resources across distributed teams.
Her research interests are in artificial intelligence and learning analytics.

Mr Ashish Hemani, eLearning Programme Manager
Ashish is a eLearning Programme Manager at the School of Medicine, Imperial College London. He holds an MBA with Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He is a certified PRINCE2 professional and has the breadth of experience in managing and executing large projects combined with versatile and global commercial skills.
He has successfully managed the deployment of iPads (including Apps development) in the School of Medicine becoming the first medical school in the UK giving iPads to all its undergraduate medical students.
Ashish supports the delivery of blended learning programmes using mobile technology. He also ensures that all learning design solutions within project team meet the business needs, are feasible and achievable within budgets and time scales, and are successfully implemented.
He is very passionate about mobile technology and his research interest includes learning analytics and people analytics.
Mr Taylor Bennie, Learning Technologist
Taylor is a Learning Technologist at the School of Medicine, Imperial College London. He has extensive experience of working in e-Learning, assistive technology, equalities and student services. He has accumulated vast experience in web development, graphical/desktop publishing design, e-Learning development, database design/ implementation, management, and technical support. He has varied background, with a BSc in Forensic and Analytical Chemistry, MPhil in Archaeological Studies and a PGDE (Adult Literacies).
His role is to manage and support various projects delegated by the e-Learning Strategy and Development Manager. Current work involves providing support for the iPad Project and providing support for the Blackboard Learn system.
Mr Akram Ameen, Learning Technologist
Akram is a Learning Technologist at the School of Medicine, Imperial College London. Having completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, he has accumulated vast experience in web development, programming, testing, graphical design, e-Learning development, LMS management and technical support.
His role is to manage and support various projects delegated by the e-Learning Project Manager. Current work involves providing support for the Blackboard system, providing analysis and reporting on a number of current projects and preparing a strategy to pilot new VLE systems within the School of Medicine.
Ms Emma Blyth, Instructional Designer
Emma is an Instructional Designer at the School of Medicine, Imperial College London. She designs and develops learning resources and provides consultancy and technical support for academic staff on the BSc in Medical Biosciences.
Emma also designs and implements processes, guidelines and procedures for the development and implementation of e-learning materials. In addition, she also monitors and evaluates the quality, consistency and effectiveness of materials and processes
Dr Agata Sadza, Blended Learning Specialist (Instructional Designer)
Agata is a Blended Learning Specialist (Instructional Designer) at the School of Medicine, Imperial College London. She has extensive experience of HE teaching, technology-enhanced education, learning design and developing learning resources. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Agata provides consultancy and support on the learning design of blended modules within the BSc in Medical Biosciences, working closely with senior academic subject matter specialists and applying consistent instructional design approach and ethos across modules and programmes. She advises on the development of pedagogically sound solutions and supports teaching staff to deliver programmes in line with best practices in blended learning. She carries out systematic evaluation of programme design and delivery, and makes recommendations related to the improvement of student learning, research, and innovative pedagogies and technologies.
